Can't Decide On Your Wedding Playlist? We've Got You Covered!
If your Facebook news feed is quickly filling with wedding pictures like mine is, then you have probably guessed that wedding season is now in full swing. According to Wedding Bells, "67% of weddings will occur between June and September [and] the most popular month to marry in is August." If you are like the 23% of Canadian’s having their wedding in August, then you are just a few short weeks away from your special day and are likely in the midst of trying to put together that perfect playlist. Fortunately for you, Spotify has just released the top 50 first dance songs, to help you narrow things down. More than 6.7 million wedding themed playlists have been created on Spotify, globally, and it should come as no surprise that classics from Etta James, Elton John and Eric Clapton have made the list. We’re also seeing artists like Ellie Goulding, Adele and Jason Mraz gaining popularity. So who holds the coveted number one spot? According to Spotify, Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” is the most popular first dance song, boasting more than 683 million streams. He is also the only artist to appear on the list three times, with “Tenerife Sea” coming in at 23 and “Kiss Me” coming in at 35. So what song will you choose for your first dance?
