Southern Inspired Outdoor Bridal Shower in Spring Pastels

There is an international group full of entrepreneur creatives, called The Rising Tide Society, with chapters all over the world. In Ottawa, we are known as Tuesdays Together. The group is all about community over competition, and supporting one another. In May, we challenged ourselves to collaborate on a massive styled shoot with two goals: incorporate as many creatives from the group as possible and style something other than the wedding day.

Something that sets Bourbon & Bloom apart is that I also offer wedding planning services to the bridal party for pre-wedding bridal party activities such as the bachelorette and the bridal shower, so I was so excited to be able to showcase those elements in this shoot. Working together with Emily Hayward and Marianne McLeish, we talked about vibrant colours, elegance and a beautiful farm. With those primaries determined, we came up with the idea of the Southern Bridal Brunch (not something you see too often in Ottawa).

We coordinated with 33 talented collaborators who all brought incredible and unique items to the table. It was a challenge to coordinate so many people and ensure that everything still flowed together consistently, but I was so impressed with each of these creatives and how well they worked together.

These photos are the product of countless hours of brainstorming and extremely detailed coordination, 33 wildly talented industry folks and the notion that a rising tide lifts all ships. Our skilled photographers did an impeccable job capturing the laughter and joy that radiated out of our little community throughout this entire process.
