Seriously gorgeous highlights from 2018 - wedding designs

2018 was the first season that we got to see our wedding designs come to life for our couples. After working crazy hard in 2017 to really establish ourselves as a go to for unique, gorgeous wedding designs (we did 8 styled shoots that year to showcase our talents!), and spending months and months working with our lovely couples to perfectly refine their designs, it was finally time to execute all of the pretty things.

You might want to pour yourself a glass of rosé cause you're about to be hit with some seriously gorgeous wedding designs!

Modern English Royals

We created this design for Marisa and Andrew, who got married on July 28th. These two book-loving travelers wanted a wedding that was classic, romantic and sophisticated. It was also clear that Marisa was royals obsessed with a mild (okay, massive) Kate Middleton obsession, a tendency toward English/European details and love for deep, bold colours.

With those details in mind, we created this in depth design...

Obviously if you're having a royal themed wedding it has to take place in a castle; aka the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. We brought in Wishtree Invitations & Design for the stationery, including a keepsake bookmark save the date, and Wedecor for the décor and florals. Here is the result...

And I'm pretty sure the reaction says it all...

Blush Romance

This design was created for Jerrika and Adrian. These two outdoor, sports enthusiasts wanted a wedding that was beautiful, tasteful and fun. Jerrika had a soft spot for the bright, airy look and the dusty blush shades, which paired perfectly with their romantic wedding venue, Stonefields.

Here is the in depth design we created...

We brought in  Capital Florist  for all of the beautiful arrangements, and worked with Wedecor for the rentals and all of the beautiful wedding day signage! Here is how they brought our design to life...

Winter at Midnight

For Marisa and Stefano, we created the Winter at Midnight design. This classy pair wanted a romantic winter wonderland for their December wedding, but they didn't want anything tacky or resembling Christmas. So we went ultra sleek and elegant for their design, focusing on the gorgeous sky colours that you see late at night when it starts snowing Here's their in depth design...

Set at the Infinity Convention Center, we once again brought in Wedecor to turn our design into reality with their gorgeous decor and florals.

And here is the design IRL. This one is by far my favourite head table design from the entire wedding season...

Provincial Romance

Gaby and Luc came to me with a really awesome challenge: to design and plan a french inspired, lounge-style wedding, with Venezuelan and Canadian traditions... in only 5 months! I LOVE a good challenge and a hella unique design inspiration so this one was extra fun for me to create. We decided to throw in an extra challenge by hosting the wedding at Aquatopia. The greenhouse venue is stunning of course, but it is a literal jungle of cool plants everywhere, which doesn't necessarily pair well with the old world, ethereal style that Gaby and Luc were going for. We had to get pretty crafty, but the result was definitely worth it.

So with all of those details in mind, here is our in depth design...

To create the perfect french inspired lounge reception in the middle of a greenhouse jungle, we needed the exact right pieces, in the exact right shades. We ended up sourcing decor/rentals from FOUR different rental companies to make sure that every single piece was the perfect fit for the design and the venue. We brought in linens from Mastermind Event Rentals, the draping from Sizzle with Decor, the rugs and pillows from Lou Lou Lounge and all of the furniture from Joe's Prop House, all the way from Montreal! The gorgeous stationery was created by Emma Allen Photography + Designs and the hundreds of stunning blooms and arrangements were done in house by Aquatopia.

Our most unique wedding reception design to date, here is how Provincial Romance came to life...
